Hello!
I’ve been doing a bit of travel lately and am constantly reminded to slow my roll. Drink the wine. Eat the dessert. Linger longer in beautiful setting. It was very much a wake up call to redirect my over-thinking brain to just enjoy the moment. And what was also interesting about taking time to savour the scene were the small discoveries in a new city that I may have otherwise passed over. For example, we stopped to have a drink in a public square and from our vantage point, just above the street sign, was a small sculpture set up high into a nearby building. It easily would have been missed otherwise. So perhaps next time you’re traveling, or even just passing through your own city, take time to see all the little bits of art or architecture or unusual features that may otherwise by passed by.
Anyway, let’s get to the list!
1.) I’ve been enjoying the new tv show, KAOS, lately. It stars Jeff Goldbloum and is essentially a modern take on Greek mythology. Very much worth checking out.
2.) Season four of Slow Horses has just been released on Apple TV, and if you ask me, it’s one of the best new shows of the last few years. If you haven’t seen it yet, now’s the time to start!
3.) The Beetlejuice sequel is finally out, so here’s an interview with Tim Burton on NPR about returning to the franchise.
4.) After recent announcements about SNL cast departures, most people assumed the season 50 cast was set. However, news has come that Cole Troust will also be departing ahead of the premiere, while three new featured players have been added. Read all the details here.
5.) For last, how about sometime this week just go out and get a coffee or a drink, but don’t look at your phone, or do any work, or whatever you’d normally do to distract yourself. Instead, look around and observe your space. Take it in. Look for the art. Appreciate.
That’s all for this time. Cheers!
